Know your local economy to..... Access EU funding – Post event page

The Reach & Impact project ran two half day workshops on Tuesday 5 November in Derby, designed to help VCS organisations, funding/support advisers and development workers start to prepare and think about how they may take advantage of opportunities in the EU Structural and Investment Funds 2014-20 programme.

Workshop 1, delivered by Chris Pienaar, Making Spaces, focused on helping delegates identify, develop and evidence the need for a project that can achieve economic outcomes such as jobs, growths and development within local communities. The session will helped them to assess the economic needs of their local community, identify where they can find statistical data to support the need of the project and the steps needed to develop the project.

Workshop 2, delivered by Heather Black, Economic Change, offered delegates a step-by-step introduction to defining and measuring the social and economic impact of an organisation. The workshop included an insight into applying a simple process to develop a social/economic impact framework for an organisation and looked at how to develop a framework, reporting process and system for measuring the social and economic impact of your projects.
