Closer Links briefing events

Ever wondered how you become a sub-contractor or a delivery provider in a bidding opportunity?

The One East Midlands and New College Stamford partnership project Closer Links* will be hosting a series of free half day briefing events across the East Midlands during spring and early summer

Facilitated by a regional college and/or voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisation the briefing events will all share a common theme; providing information on what commissioners/funders are looking for and guidance on compliance and quality requirements that regularly underpin funding agreements for public and commercial funding.

The first Closer Links briefing event will be taking place at New College Stamford on Friday 15 March from 9.30am to 12.30pm. To book your place click here and then click on the “Register Now” button.

The briefing event will provide an opportunity for VCSE providers and support organisations to look at:

  • different types of processes used to buy service delivery and ancillary support from providers
  • examples of compliance & quality requirements that regularly underpin funding agreements for delivery providers and/or sub-contractors
  • examples of opportunities available

At this event you will have the opportunity to:

  • meet the college buyers of Employability and Skills Support Services including ancillary services e.g. specialist support for disadvantaged groups.
  • learn more about the college and what they are looking for
  • receive generic information about the college’s commissioning process
  • find out how you may be able to become a registered approved delivery partner on New College Stamford’s Framework agreement 2013 – 2016.

Following on from the briefing, organisations will have the opportunity to attend a mini compliance health check clinic, where they can begin to exam in more detail how closely their current compliance and quality procedures meet the ever tougher requirements set by funders. Guidance will be available to organisations to help them address any issues identified in the clinic.

Why should you attend?

Securing funding is always a challenge and as it gets tougher organisations need to future proof their compliance & quality approaches so as to be ready to take advantage of emerging contracting opportunities.

The Closer Links briefing events will provide information on what commissioners are seeking and what prime contractors may be looking for in the supply chain. The briefing events will help you understand what it means for you, how you can respond and what action-planning you may need to do in readiness to take advantage of future opportunities.

Booking

To book onto the Friday 15 March event click here and then click on the “Register Now” button.
