Crime Survey for England and Wales

The Home Office has published the Crime Survey for England and Wales for the year ending June 2012, which shows a 6% decrease in overall crime against adults compared with the previous year's survey.

This continues the downward trend in recorded crime seen since 2004/05, including that the number of child victims of violent crime has dropped over the last 12 months, with 481,000 violent offences against children aged between 10 and 15 in the year ending June 2012, compared to 586,000 between April 2010 and March 2011.
