Discover Volunteering in Lincolnshire and Rutland

Based in Market Deeping, Discover Volunteering has a pioneering approach to promoting and supporting volunteering across Lincolnshire, Rutland and Peterborough.

Run by two former Lincolnshire County Council youth volunteer advisors, the not-for-profit social enterprise aims to offer something for everyone and involve the whole community, by:

• Encouraging anyone aged 16 or over to register their details and look for volunteering opportunities on their website.
• Qualifying volunteers for certificates for giving up their free time, culminating in a gold award for 500 hours volunteering by an individual.
• Encouraging charities and other organisations to use the website to highlight vacancies and showcase their work.
• Encouraging businesses to advertise for £30 a year, while offering tailor-made employee volunteering schemes.
• Offering an accredited community volunteering course for schools and colleges to help students gain additional qualifications and UCAS points.
