Voice4Change England trustee and volunteer vacancies

Voice4Change England, the membership organisation and national advocate for the BME VCS, wish to diversify the skills of their board, which is made up of elected members and original founder members.

The organisation’s vision is for a stronger and inclusive civil society able to meet the needs of BME and other disadvantaged communities. Their mission is to strengthen the BME VCS to meet the needs of disadvantaged communities.

They seek a treasurer and a few new trustees to be co-opted to the board who have the passion to make a positive change to the BME VCS and the communities they serve. Coupled with that passion they seek individuals with one or more of the following knowledge and skills:

  • Strong operational and strategic financial acumen;
  • A financial qualification;
  • Business skills, particularly in change management and enterprise;
  • Experience of partnerships and/or mergers; and
  • Knowledge of company and/or charity law.

They are also looking to recruit a small bank of volunteers from a diverse range of backgrounds and of all ages for some fixed part time hours per week.

Volunteers will work on particular projects and events throughout the year. They will receive induction, training and support and any out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.

They are looking at volunteers with skills in archiving and research, event management, graphic design, membership database work, telephone interviews and fundraising.
