East Midlands ESF Community Grants Fund 2014 - 2015

Managed by Futures Advice Skills and Employment and jointly funded by the Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund, the East Midlands ESF Community Grants Fund 2014 – 2015 was launched on 14 February, with grants of up to £15,000 available to VCS groups across the East Midlands.

The community grants will give VCS groups an opportunity to access funding to undertake innovative activity to engage and progress unemployed or inactive people. Projects should provide an opportunity for people to engage in activities to learn, develop skills and confidence to help them progress towards getting a job, further learning or volunteering.  

There will be three opportunities throughout the year for VCS groups to apply:

  • Round one opened on Friday 14 February, application packs can be requested up until 4pm on Wednesday 12 March and completed applications must be received by 4pm on Monday 17 March. Applications received after the deadline will not be included.   • Round two will open in June. Dates and details to be confirmed.
  • Round three will open in September. Dates and details to be confirmed.

The application guidance and application form will be specific to each round.

To provide further information about the fund, a series of workshops will be held across the region.

  • Derbyshire - Tuesday 25 February, 10am to 12noon, Derwent Stepping Stones, St Marks Road, Derby DE21 6AH
  • Leicestershire - Wednesday 26 February, 10.30am to 12.30pm, Kings Centre, 56 Bull Head Street, Wigston LE18 1PA
  • Lincolnshire - Thursday 27 February, 2pm to 4pm, The Olde Barn Hotel, Toll Bar Road, Marston NG32 2HT
  • Northamptonshire - Friday 28 February, 10.30am to 12.30pm, Options 2, 1st Floor, 60 Gold Street, Northampton NN1 1RS
