Bursaries for Midlands charities to study with Anglia Ruskin University

Charity and social enterprise managers in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire can study for a specialist university qualification at Anglia Ruskin University and save 50% on fees.

The bursaries are sponsored by Central England Co-operative, which trades in the heart of England and recently became one of the largest independent Co-op societies, with projected annual sales of over £1billion following the merger of the Midlands and Anglia Co-operatives.

To celebrate Central England Co-operative are providing three bursaries for managers of charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations to study Anglia Ruskin University’s Certificate in Higher Education in Charity and Social Enterprise Management.

The Certificate of Higher Education is designed for people working within the third sector, including paid employees, trustees and board members, as well as public sector staff in services moving towards a mutual or social enterprise model. It can be studied entirely online or with workshops at one of the university’s campuses.

The aim of this course is to improve the skills and knowledge of third sector leaders in these areas of business management:

  • Leadership and management
  • Social enterprise
  • Marketing
  • Financial management
  • Human resource management
  • Social impact measurement
  • To develop students' intellectual, academic and interpersonal skills, enabling them to perform more effectively in the workplace environment.
  • To evidence professional development through an accredited university-level qualification.
  • To meet the needs of third sector employers seeking to improve the skills of their managers.
