Tender to deliver services supporting VCS in Nottingham

Nottingham City Council is looking to commission providers to deliver services that will support the VCS in Nottingham City, including helping organisations to be sustainable, grow and meet changing need.

It is expected that the support services should be in place by 1 April 2012.

Nottingham City is composed of a diverse group of VCS organisations working together to meet the needs of Nottingham City's citizens. Organisations that may require support may include play services, counselling services, BME and refugee services, LGBT services and women's groups.

Any organisation that wishes to deliver these services must be equipped to do so with relevant, recent, extensive experience and local knowledge which must be evidenced at the point of tender. This may be achieved through collaborative partnership working. It is important that the provider model is as flexible as possible and can adapt service delivery to meet current and emerging needs within the sector, therefore interested parties should have knowledge of local and citywide VCS support service needs.

To help organisations interested in delivering this provision Nottingham City Council has undertaken a needs assessment of the VCS support service requirements. This needs assessment will directly inform the service specification to commission support services for the VCS.

The consultation on the service specification closes at 12noon on 16 December. To download the consultation documents visit www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=16828. To submit your comments, once it has been published, email dipak.dave@nottinghamcity.gov.uk.

The invitation to tender will open on 19 December.
