Asset Transfer and Volunteering

The Institute of Volunteering Research asset transfer volunteering research, commissioned by Heritage Lottery Fund, looked at volunteer-led groups who have taken on responsibility for the management and running of a heritage-based facility or property.

The asset may originally have been managed by local government or the private sector and includes buildings and historic landscapes such as parks, woodlands or cemeteries. A total of 18 projects were interviewed and six case studies were completed.

Some of the results of the research will be shared shortly. For further information email kim.donahue@ivr.org.uk.
