Young people and discrimination

The European Youth Forum published a report which presents the findings of an online exploratory survey on multiple discrimination affecting young people in Europe.

Key findings include:

  • The main experiences of discrimination reported by respondents occur in the field of education and employment/occupation with 53.8 percent of respondents experienced discrimination in the field of education, 50.5 percent in searching for a remunerated job, 42.4 percent in the workplace, and 26 percent in the attempt to get of recognition of their qualifications; and
  • Relevant cases of discrimination can be found also in access with 29.2 percent of respondents experiencing discrimination when looking for accommodation and 26.6 percent in healthcare.
