In October 2011, Rachel Quinn, Chief Executive of One East Midlands, become the first voluntary sector chief in England to head-up an economic investment body, She will lead on economic investment in the East Midlands as Deputy Chair of the committee that injects £260 million of European Regional Development Funds (ERDF) into the East Midlands economy.

Local Enterprise Partnerships

Local Enterprise Partnerships have a rapidly expanding role in driving the local economic growth agenda. From 2014 this role will include developing investment strategies for European Structural Funds investment in business growth, skills, inclusion and rural development.
