SUTE resources transfer to One East Midlands website

The Stepping Up To Enterprises website, which aims to help VCS organisations develop trading and income generation, has been transferred to within the One East Midlands website.

East Midlands Local Infrastructure Symposium 2014

Following the success of last year’s local infrastructure symposium 2013, on Wednesday 9 April from 10am to 3pm at Nottingham Mechanics, 3 North Sherwood Street, Nottingham NG1 3FB, One East Midlands and BIG Assist are hosting another free joint event for local infrastructure organisations across the East Midlands to look at future directions and new opportunities.

Commercial Skills Masterclass, 8 – 9 April, Nottingham

Rearranged from November last year, additional places have become available on this two day masterclass to build commercial skills for public service delivery, taking place in Nottingham on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 April.

EMVY have merged with One East Midlands

Following their AGM on 15 November, the members of East Midlands Voluntary Youth (EMVY) agreed to a merger with One East Midlands from 1 January 2013.

Better Data: Applying public health data to build the business case for your service

This event, which builds upon the success of the Better Data events delivered last year, is designed to support third sector organisations to access a range of free and readily available public health data sources to build business cases for the provision of community based health and wellbeing services. The event will include contributions from speakers representing Public Health England, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, Local Authorities and the Third Sector.

One East Midlands, Social Inclusion and D2N2 LEP

One East Midlands has, for some time, done important work on Social Inclusion – particularly in the context of European Funding. From 2009 OEM worked closely with the East Midlands lead agency, CEFET on the topic [CEFET archive, which makes very interesting reading in this context, is available through the Tools & Resources section of this website]. This collaboration had notable effect in the “2010: European Year Against Poverty and Social Exclusion” Project “All In One” [also in the CEFET archive].

The final One East Midlands annual event:  Legacy & Learning took place on Thursday 26th November in Nottingham.  Presentations and information from the event are now available on-line.
