Department of Health VCS newsletter

The Department of Health’s Voluntary Sector Partnership Team’s has published its first monthly newsletter for the VCS. The newsletter aims to:

• Raise awareness of specific actions the Department of Health is undertaking to support the VCS in the context of wider Department of Health objectives and service reform agenda
• Draw attention to and explain wider Department of Health reform programmes, which may have implications for the VCS sectors.
• Highlight the broad national strategies where there is the clear potential for the voluntary sectors to contribute and participate.

The Department of Health’s Voluntary Sector Partnership Team works to embed the value of the VCS, volunteering and the principles of the Big Society into mainstream policy development within DH and build stronger partnerships with the VCS.
