Patient Leader Programme

As part of their ambition to create revolution in patient and customer services experience, NHS Midlands and East have commissioned the development and delivery of a Patient Leaders Programme for the Midlands and East, which is to be led by the Centre for Patient Leadership and FPM.

These free three day patient leader programmes, taking place in February and March at venues across the region, are aimed at providing existing and emerging patient leaders with the tools, skills, knowledge and support to become even more credible and effective leaders for the patient and customer voice in the patient revolution.

NHS Midlands and East are looking for a wide range of people to take part in the programme, which aims to assist delegates to:

  • Become more confident and skilled at communicating effectively;
  • Build successful relationships as patient leaders whilst influencing others in order to achieve positive outcomes;
  • Ensure that patients, carers and service users experiences and needs are taken into account and put at the centre of the healthcare system.

Participants on the programme will get to know other patient leaders and together learn from and support each other in developing a powerful patient voice whilst having a positive influence and impact on the development of the Patient Revolution.

For further information and to book see the participant specification and application form below.

If you are registering independently from an NHS organisation, NHS Midlands and East are able to offer reimbursement of your travel expenses.
