The government has laid regulations on procurement, patient choice and competition.

The regulations, which revoke the regulations laid out on 13 February 2013, aim to help ensure that commissioners’ decisions on buying clinical services are transparent and fair, and that they improve the quality and efficiency of health care services for patients.
