Post health event resources

The presentations and final reports from two of the health events One East Midlands organised in March are now available on online.

Taking place on Friday 22 March in Leicester, the Understanding Changes to Public Health event provided an opportunity for VCSE organisations to learn more about the changes in Public Health, how that change might affect them and how best to engage with the new model.

Speakers at the event included:

  • Dr Rashmi Shukla CBE, Regional Director Public Health England, Midlands & East
  • Dr Peter Marks, Director of Public Health, NHS Leicestershire County & Rutland
  • Kevan Liles, Chief Executive, Voluntary Action Leicestershire
  • Derek Ward, Joint Director of Public Health, NHS Derby City and NHS Derbyshire County
  • David Pearson, Director of the Adult Social Care, Nottinghamshire County Council.

Taking place in Newark on Tuesday 26 March, Developing effective VCS engagement in the new world of health and social care was organised by One East Midlands and East Midlands Councils to help contribute to the development of effective approaches for VCS engagement by highlighting leading engagement practice taking place across the East Midlands region.
