Understanding commissioning and procurement

Compact Voice has published a comprehensive guide to commissioning and procurement for local Compact groups and voluntary organisations.

Earlier this year, the organisation, which represents the VCS on the Compact, asked its members and networks which areas they wanted more support in, and commissioning was highlighted as a key area in which our members needed support. 

The detailed guidance includes:

• Guidance on what the commissioning cycle looks like, 
• How and when Compact groups and voluntary organisations can engage with commissioners and what the challenges are
• A practical action list for Compact groups (or any voluntary organisations seeking to work with commissioners), and a glossary of terms.
