Responding to Francis: Patients First and Foremost regional event

Taking place on Wednesday 7 August from 9.30am to 1pm at Jury’s Inn, Birmingham, this free event is the final in a series of regional events to discuss Patients First and Foremost, the Government’s initial response on behalf of the health and care system, to the Francis Report.

The implications of Francis on transparency and candour, leadership, information, safety and compassionate care, extend far beyond the acute sector. The event brings together insights from local conversations and local best practice with the latest picture from the national organisations tasked with developing and implementing the system-wide response to Francis.

This is an opportunity for national organisations, including the Department of Health, Care Quality Commission and NHS England, and local organisations across health and social care to meet and discuss the actions they are taking forward. The event is open to anyone working in or with the health and care system with an interest in how Robert Francis’s recommendations are taken forward.
