Support after a suicide workshop

Taking place on Tuesday 24 September from 9.30am to 4.30pm at the YMCA Campus for Learning & Development in Derby, this one day workshop for those who work with the bereaved and / or those who are vulnerable to suicide, aims to develop understanding, skills and strategies.

The day will include:

• Understanding how bereavement by suicide is different
• Developing awareness and skills to support individuals
• Exploring postvention strategies for organisations
• Building skills to respond to suicidal thoughts and behaviour.

This event is hosted by Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide, a national charity who work to break the isolation and meet the needs of the family, friends and colleagues bereaved by suicide and self-inflicted death, and presents an opportunity to benefit from their expertise and experience gained from working with bereaved people across the UK.

The cost of the event is £75 for VCS organisations and £95 for non VCS organisations, including a workbook and light refreshments.
