Commissioning the social work workforce consultation

Skills for Care are undertaking a consultation to refresh the resources which were included in the second ADASS advice note, which supports the effective deployment of social workers in adult services.

The seven stage model is a tool that informs decision making around commissioning the social work workforce and is freely-available to anyone who has an interest in workforce commissioning.

The consultation is aimed at Directors, Commissioners and others involved in this area of activity. It runs until the beginning of December and provides the opportunity to contribute feedback and suggestions on how the existing model can be improved to provide greater impact and sustainability. 

There are two ways to take part in the consultation:

• By completing a short online survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/workforcecommissioning; or
• By attending an afternoon consultation workshop in Manchester on Tuesday 12 November or Nottingham on Friday 22 November.
