NHS e-Referral Service seeks input from VCS

The NHS e-Referral Service Programme Team have produced a suite of information based on potential clinical scenarios and associated patient journeys.

Starting in Summer and continuing through until mid-November, the team are in the process of holding workshops throughout the country to gather input from Referrers, Commissioners, Service Providers and, of course, Patients. This input will shape the look, feel and content of a future NHS e-Referral Service.

Stakeholders are being asked to share their challenges with the current Choose and Book system and to contribute their ideas for a service that will work for all. They can see contributions from all other stakeholders and to prioritise those ideas and requirements.

The national team believe that the VCS could give some very constructive input regarding how they believe the new service could benefit both their organisations and their service users.

To find out if there is a workshop in your locality or if you are interested in facilitating a workshop email nhs.ers@hscic.gov.uk.
