Call out for careers in adult social care case studies

Skills for Care is running a campaign to increase awareness of careers in adult social care. The campaign will highlight the benefits of working in the sector and aims to influence people to join the growing workforce.

They need the help of social care employees who want to tell their story about their role in the sector, to explain the job that they do, help people understand why they choose to do it, and tell the public their own personal career journey. Sharing the experiences of people who work in the sector is an excellent way for people to understand what working in adult social care is really like.

The case studies may be filmed as a video, written as a document or recorded as an audio piece. They will be used online, and included in publications to promote the excellent work that people do in the sector.

Skills for Care need a range of people who are confident and comfortable telling their story and we need to show a range of job roles in the sector, including specialist and non-direct care roles.

The employee will be interviewed and filmed either at their office in either London or Leeds, or at the employees own place of work. Filming usually lasts one day. There is no need to have done a case study before, the day is informal and there will be plenty of time to prepare.

For further information including how to apply to be included as a case study email victoria.laird@skillsforcare.org.uk.

Applications will be reviewed by Skills for Care from Friday 20 December onwards.
