East Midlands personalisation improvement programme

In Control has announced that it will be working in partnership with ADASS in the East Midlands to deliver a personalisation improvement programme.

We are now working with four of the nine ADASS regions including the North West, Yorkshire and Humber, Eastern and now East Midlands.

The regional programme, which is also being run in the North West, Yorkshire and Humber, and the East regions, focus on improving the delivery of personalisation for adult social care as well as provider and market development and integration across health and children's services.

Each programme has been tailored towards the particular needs of that region and includes:

  • Checking the results of personal budgets;
  • Improving personal budget delivery, including direct payment uptake strategies and reducing process and bureaucracy;
  • Developing and simplifying resource allocation systems;
  • Support to implement 'Making it Real' on a local level;
  • Building community capacity;
  • Provider development, including personalising homecare through the use of individual service funds and tools such as Stronger Partnerships for Better Outcomes and Progress for Providers;
  • Integration of personal health budgets and links to continuing healthcare;
  • Transition for children and young people and delivering the SEND reforms; and
  • Personalisation and safeguarding.
