Consultation on changes to specialised services specifications

NHS England has launched a consultation on changes to 15 of its specialised services specifications and on a new document relating to specialised maternity services.

The service specifications cover the areas of haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, renal replacement therapy, adult cardiac surgery, prosthetics, paediatric critical care, neonatal critical care and gestational trophoblastic disease.

The documents already been subject to public consultation; however, stakeholders registered with the relevant clinical reference groups felt that the changes to the documents proposed were significant enough to warrant further consultation.

The consultation closes on Wednesday 21 May.
