NHS England Insight Strategy Steering Group

NHS England is establishing a steering group to provide strategic direction for the insight and feedback activities undertaken at a national level and are inviting expert stakeholders to join.

They are particularly keen to receive interest from organisations working in the areas of learning disabilities, physical disability, mental health, race equality, children and young people, older people, and dementia.

The purpose of the group will be to oversee and advise on the development of a more strategic approach to the insight and feedback activities undertaken by NHS England. The intention is to bring this together into a published Insight Strategy by the end of 2014/15.

The intention is not that the group will work with NHS England to establish a clear strategic vision for how these different elements can complement each other most effectively to be greater than the sum of their individual parts in giving NHS England a clear picture about what patients and the public think of their NHS services.

The first meeting of the Insight Strategy Steering Group will take place on Monday 9 June from 2pm to 5pm at Wellington House, 133 Waterloo Road, London SE1.

Following this initial meeting NHS England expect the steering group to meet quarterly for a half day with further meetings planned for 2 September, 2 December and 3 March.
