VCS health and social care apprenticeships

Skills for Care is calling on VCS employers to participate in a project to identify how apprenticeships in adult social care could be delivered.

The project is for VCS organisations who are not currently engaged with apprenticeships, assisting them in developing a sustainable model to embed apprenticeships within their workforce development.

It will identify how apprenticeships in adult social care could be delivered by:

  • Introducing the concept of adult social care apprenticeships and the breadth and depth of career opportunities in the VCS;
  • Understanding how apprenticeships can support entry and progression;
  • Tracking and monitoring progress of apprentices identifying best practice and challenges; and
  • Identifying and developing understanding on the core elements that contribute to the success of the programme including partnership working with learning providers.

The closing date for applications is Friday 10 October at 12noon.

To request the invitation to tender and specification document emailĀ apprenticeships@skillsforcare.org.uk.
