Care Act 2014 statutory guidance for implementation

The Department of Health has published the statutory guidance to support implementation of Part One of the Care Act 2014, which sets out how the Act will work in practice when the first phase of the reforms comes into effect in April next year.

A Government response to the consultation on the draft regulations and guidance has also been published, which received over 4,000 responses. The response document summarises changes to the regulations and guidance as a result of the consultation and includes proposed final versions of the regulations that will form the basis for the new legal framework.
