Meaningful participation for people with disabilities

Taking place at Deafblind UK Conference Centre, Peterborough PE7 8FD on Wednesday 26 November, this event will focus on enabling and supporting people with disabilities, service providers and commissioners, to work together to ensure meaningful participation in health and social care.

The Disability Partnership (Sense, Mencap, Scope and The National Autistic Society) has joined forces with NHS England and the Strategic Clinical Network (East of England) to host this public participation event, which will include

  • The opportunity for service users to share their experiences of participation and engagement directly with key decision makers in health and care and explain how they can best be involved and supported;
  • A range of workshops on different aspects of supporting people with disabilities to participate;
  • The chance for key decision makers to share their current projects that they would like input with; and
  • Lunch and refreshments.
