Crown Representative to provide voice for VCS

Cabinet Office has announced the creation of a new Crown Representative for the VCS, with the aim of opening up more public sector business opportunities for the sector, and improving the relationship between government and the sector.
 
Michael O’Toole, former Chief Executive of 3SC, has been appointed to the role. His work will focus on improving the government’s business relationship with the VCS, making it easier for the sector to tender for public contracts, help the Government engage more widely on VCS issues and find ways to enable sector organisation to bring their innovative solutions to the public sector market.
 
The new Crown Representative, joined the Cabinet Officer on 18 June, and will report to Bill Crothers, Executive Director for Commercial Relationships at the Cabinet Office.
