The voluntary and community sector has made significant contributions to health and wellbeing, often reaching areas and communities that have been difficult to reach by mainstream health and social care providers. One East Midlands aims to keep the voluntary and community sector informed about these changes and where possible contribute to policy and strategy development.

Who's Who in the Regions?

Each of the regional VCS network organisations that form Regional Voices, including One East Midlands have developed a regional "Who's Who" guide to support voluntary and community sector organisations make contact with people in the new health and care structures.

Supporting VCS representatives to be more efficient on Health and Wellbeing Boards

Regional Voices has been successful in securing funding to support VCS representatives be more effective on Health and Wellbeing Boards (HWBB). The funding comes from the Department of Health’s Innovation Excellence and Strategic Development fund (IESD) and will allow us to facilitate training and peer learning networks that help grow and support influencing capacity and capability in this very important role.
